Crimson Desert will get better. Developers will rework the story and characters

Crimson Desert will receive story improvements. The developers acknowledge player criticism and are preparing updates affecting the story and secondary characters.

In an interview with IGN at Summer Game Fest, studio representative Will Powers confirmed that the team is working on improving the narrative. However, a complete rework of the plot is not planned.

We will add additional scenes, improve cutscenes, and new elements will appear that explain the motivations of the characters and events at the beginning of the game.

According to Pearl Abyss, some players had difficulty understanding what was happening in the first hours of the game. Characters appeared without proper introduction, which hindered perception. The studio wants to fix this without forcing players to start over.

Special attention will be paid to the characters Damiana and Unkki. Players most often criticized them for poor development and lack of motivation. Powers noted that expanding their story and a closer connection to the main plot are being discussed.

Pearl Abyss stated that it regularly analyzes feedback.
