Gothic 1 Remake Developers Fixed Bugs and Buffed NPCs - Update 1.0.2 Released

Lockpicking will now be rewarded with experience.

Alkimia Interactive and THQ Nordic announced the release of update 1.0.2 for Gothic 1 Remake. The developers made balance changes and fixed numerous bugs.

This update makes the characters of the Gothic remake more resilient: health and armor have been increased for almost all humans. For some NPCs, like Arto and Okil, health and armor were "increased even more."

Some changes and improvements:

  • Added "Performance" and "Quality" presets to the graphics menu on consoles.
  • Fixed various bugs that caused Gothic 1 Remake to crash.
  • Improved game optimization.
  • Fixed "clipping" of Orc subtitles.
  • Fixed a bug where the "Game Over" screen persisted on subsequent loads if the player quickly loaded before it fully appeared.
  • Improved inventory sorting.
  • Lockpicking will now give the player "a small amount of experience."
  • Fixed bugs in various chapters of the game that could prevent progression.
