Hearts of Iron IV Gets a New Development Lead and an Update Fixing Mods and Balance
The developers are already preparing the next update.
The creators of the global strategy game Hearts of Iron IV are celebrating the project's anniversary this year. Paradox Development Studio announced that the project has a new development lead.
The game director of HOI IV is Laszlo, known by the nickname PDX_Batya. He noted that he consults his predecessors for advice to ensure that the original vision of the project is not lost:
Of course, adjusting the vision is a natural process when changing direction, but HoI IV should feel and play like the same HoI that many of us (including myself) fell in love with over 10 years ago. It's an amazing game that accurately conveys the era and captivates millions of people worldwide – whether it's an interest in history, competitive play, or sometimes slightly “overpowered” alternate history branches.
Laszlo noted that the Hearts of Iron IV developers will listen to the community: “Our goal is to support the game with powerful updates as long as you enjoy playing it.”

In addition, the creators of Hearts of Iron IV released an update. It includes balance adjustments, fixes for various bugs, including those that prevented the country selection screen from working in several mods.
The full description of update 1.19.1 for Hearts of Iron IV is available at the following link. The developers noted that they are currently working on the next update 1.19.2, which will be released before the summer break. It is planned to include network code improvements that should increase the stability of the game's multiplayer mode.
