A plane crash in France resulted in the deaths of two people. According to local media, one of them was 69-year-old Claude Guillemot, co-founder of Ubisoft.
The plane crash occurred on Friday in the commune of La Baule. In an interview with Ici Loire Océan, Mayor Franck Louvrier stated that it was a "Cessna 421 – a twin-engine propeller aircraft with eight seats, which departed from Rennes."
According to the publication, the entrepreneur was heading to La Baule for an airshow. It is noted that official identification of the deceased has not yet been carried out, but Guillemot's family has already been notified of the incident.
In the early 80s, the Guillemot family was involved in supplying agricultural products in France, and subsequently, the brothers founded Ubisoft in 1986. Claude served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ubisoft and CEO of Guillemot Corporation, which specializes in audio solutions under the Hercules brand and gaming accessories for PCs, mobile devices, and consoles under the Thrustmaster brand.
