The car simulator City Car Driving 2.0 was recently released on PC via Steam. Forward Development studio presented the project in "early access" format.

Early players criticized the technical state of the new release. Optimization is described as "terrible"; one user experienced frame rate drops in the city while playing on a PC with an RTX 4070 Super graphics card:

[...] before the city, the FPS was more or less around 100+ frames, after entering the city – constant drops to 20-30 frames! Considering that the graphics in this game are not really wow and not at all the level of modern games on the same Unreal Engine, graphics settings only change the picture, but these drops to 20 frames do not disappear.

The developers of City Car Driving 2.0 responded to the criticism – they published an appeal to the community on Steam:

In this post, we want to say a huge thank you to everyone who supported us during the release. It's an invaluable feeling when you buy a game and immediately start sharing your feedback. The start was not the smoothest, and now the game has a "Mixed Reviews" status. But we are not discouraged and we are not giving up!

The authors of City Car Driving 2.0 reported that their main task at the moment is to study all feedback and make the necessary adjustments "in the near future." They have not yet published a list of planned changes, but clarified that they will be based on player feedback.
