Developers have studied feedback from the Path of Exile community and announced the return of the "Trials of the Ancestors" mechanic, which many players loved. A three-week event, "Return of the Ancestors," will be held in the first PoE.
During the event, players will be able to find silver coins. This currency can be used to enter the Karui afterlife, where users will compete with Karui tribes, assembling their own squad of warriors: "Fight chieftains in the tournament to earn valuable rewards!"
This "Trials of the Ancestors" will bring back ancestral tattoos, and Grinding Gear Games has also promised to add a new variety of tattoos. As part of the event, regular Ascendancy classes will be replaced by 19 Phrecian versions, which players could encounter in the previous event.
The in-game event in Path of Exile is scheduled to start on June 26, 01:00 Moscow time. It will last three weeks – until July 17, 01:00 MSK, and will be available on PC and consoles.
The developers clarified that the event does not end with an empty league:
Items and characters will be transferred to their respective core leagues at the end of the event. Upon transfer, your characters' Ascendancy points will be reset and they will be assigned one of the core Ascendancy classes.
