Horror, Madness, and Jungles: The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu Horror Game Gathers Hundreds of Thousands of Wishlists

The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu has accumulated over 600,000 wishlists on Steam Next Fest and will be released on July 15, 2026.

The cooperative horror game The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu from A.C.E. Team studio showed strong results during the June Steam Next Fest. The developers claim that over 200,000 players downloaded the demo version.

Users explored cursed jungles, fought dangers, and interacted with the madness mechanic. Because of it, characters can misperceive what is happening and even attack allies.

The studio thanked the community for their support and announced that the demo will remain available for some time after the end of Steam Next Fest. This will allow them to gather additional feedback.

Another achievement was over 600,000 additions to the Steam wishlist. After reaching this milestone, the developers activated a new community reward — Steam users will receive a 15% discount on the game on release day.

The team is analyzing player feedback, working on balance, refining the madness system, and fixing technical errors.

The release of The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu is scheduled for July 15, 2026.
