
GTA VI Takes Over PlayStation: New Boot Screen and PS App Redesign
Following the start of GTA VI pre-orders on PS5, when the console is turned on, the game's logo with a link to the product page began to appear in the Welcome Hub widget. The PlayStation Store has been completely redesigned for the game — trailers and a direct link to pre-order have appeared there.
Simultaneously, Sony released an update for the PS App on iOS and partially on Android. The app icon received GTA VI's signature colors — an orange-blue palette with Leonid palm tree silhouettes. Inside, the app remained unchanged.
As part of its marketing campaign, Sony calls PS5 “the best place to play” in Rockstar's new world. The companies will actively promote the project leading up to and after its release, turning the launch into a major event.
For now, the updated style has not affected other PlayStation social media, and it seems to be a matter of time.
