Blasphemous invites players to a brutal world filled with religious symbolism, where dangerous enemies and deadly challenges lurk at every turn. As the Penitent One, users fight enemies using various combinations of strikes, special techniques, and deadly weapons.
One of the project's distinctive features is its recognizable pixel art style, combined with a high degree of brutality and a grim atmosphere. Numerous bosses also play a significant role; defeating them requires attentiveness, studying their attacks, and choosing tactics wisely. Players have to memorize enemy behavior patterns and choose the optimal moment for counterattacks.
