CI Games with Lords of the Fallen II aims for "the best soulslike in history"

CI Games studio decided to forgo showing Lords of the Fallen II at Gamescom 2026. Many players reacted to the decision with understanding.

On Reddit, users suggested that the developers need more time to refine the project. Another reason is budget savings. CI Games CEO Marek Tymiński previously said that the studio prefers to invest money in development rather than in presenting the game at an exhibition.

In a new address to investors and players, Tymiński confirmed that Lords of the Fallen 2 is already fully playable from start to finish. The team will use the release postponement to early 2027 to create "the best soulslike action RPG in the history of the gaming industry."
