The horror game Cronos: The New Dawn from the Polish studio Bloober Team has reached an important commercial milestone: the developers announced that the project has fully recouped its development costs nine months after its release.
Piotr Babieno, CEO of Bloober Team, stated that the studio had no doubts about the game's success due to the warm reception from critics and players. According to him, reaching the break-even point in such a period is a significant achievement, especially considering the scale of the project and the difficult market situation, where launching new intellectual properties has become noticeably harder.
The company believes that Cronos: The New Dawn has laid the foundation for a new franchise that could become one of the key ones in Bloober Team's portfolio in the future.
Meanwhile, the developers continue to evolve the game. This autumn will see the release of the first story expansion, Lazarus, which will tell the story of The Warden's past when he was known as Pathfinder. Players will embark on a quest for the mysterious Essence and learn more about the events preceding the main story.
