Microsoft Flight Simulator Removes Low-Quality Aircraft from One Developer
After years of community criticism, Microsoft has removed all products from third-party developer Mscenery from the Marketplace.
Microsoft has removed all content from third-party developer Mscenery from the Marketplace in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024 due to low quality, misleading descriptions, and suspicions of rating manipulation.
In an official statement, the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024 team announced that the decision was made for three reasons: the extremely low quality of Mscenery's content, misleading product descriptions, and suspicions that high product ratings may have been artificially inflated.
The MSFS community has long criticized Mscenery, accusing the developer of using AI-generated images to deceive buyers and manipulating ratings with bots. YouTuber AV Angel played a significant role in publicizing the situation by demonstrating the low quality of one of the studio's aircraft.
Users who purchased Mscenery content in the Marketplace will retain access to it.
