Amidst mass layoffs in the gaming industry, Nintendo has gone in the opposite direction: the company will increase employees' base salaries by 10%.

The decision to raise employee salaries was confirmed by Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa during a Q&A session with investors. According to him, the company wants to maintain competitive working conditions and retain specialists.

We maintain salaries at an appropriate level. We believe it is important that they meet industry standards. Therefore, we have increased base salaries by 10%.
