Quantic Dream employees announce strike to save Star Wars Eclipse

Employee representatives report growing organizational difficulties, a lack of dialogue between management and the team, high workload, employee departures, and controversial management decisions. Protesters believe that improving working conditions is necessary to complete the studio's largest project. Therefore, the main slogan of the action was: "Strike to save Star Wars Eclipse".

The situation was also affected by the unsuccessful launch of the multiplayer game Spellcasters Chronicles, which did not meet expectations. Currently, the entire studio team of about 115 people is participating in the strike.

Quantic Dream management claims that work on Star Wars Eclipse is continuing and downplays the impact of the protest on development. The game was announced in 2021, and since then, reports of problems and delays have repeatedly surfaced.

Quantic Dream is currently owned by NetEase Games.
