New playable characters will be added to the fighting game soon.

Bandai Namco Entertainment has released a gameplay trailer for Tekken 8, dedicated to one of the fighters. This time, Bob is in the spotlight.

The flamboyant character Robert “Bob” Richards has appeared in previous games of the franchise, and in this trailer, he is shown wearing a sweatshirt with the inscription “Bob Onigiri. Bigger than ever.” Early access to the character will open on August 19, with a full release expected on August 24.

The developers also demonstrated the character roadmap: in autumn, they plan to add the boxing kangaroo Roger Jr. to Tekken 8, and Yujiro from the “Baki the Grappler” franchise is scheduled for release in winter.

At the end of the trailer, you can see the in-game model of the kangaroo:

Earlier this month, Tekken 8 developers introduced Kunimitsu:

Kunimitsu enrolled in the Mishima Polytechnic School to secretly gather information about the Mishima Zaibatsu and formed an important alliance with Reina. Deciphering ancient records, Kunimitsu found Kuatatou — nine blades in which evil spirits are imprisoned. Mastering new powerful techniques, Kunimitsu rushes into battle to seize Yoshimitsu's cursed blade, her mother's sworn enemy.
