The launch of Grand Theft Auto VI will be a massive event, and some fans are preparing for it in advance. Working gamers are planning vacations or taking days off in November.

Sometimes such gamers make up a significant part of the team, so "work will stop." Recently, the attention of those awaiting GTA VI was drawn to a statement from another company that decided to suspend its operations during the game's release period.

This time, Canadian Edison Motors announced a temporary suspension of operational activities on Thursday, November 19, and Friday, November 20, 2026:

After analyzing employee vacation requests, productivity forecasts, and an unusually high level of enthusiasm within the company, management concluded that normal operations could be significantly disrupted by the release of Grand Theft Auto VI. Several employees have already notified management that they will be unavailable, out of communication, and/or "engaged in important research in Vice City" on these two days.

Edison Motors expects the company to return to normal operations after "employees spend the weekend stealing cars, evading police, engaging in dubious entrepreneurial activities, and participating in other Vice City shenanigans."

Grand Theft Auto VI is expected to be released in November of this year, currently only on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles. The developers have not yet announced the PC version release date.
