New Legends of Night City: Second Teaser for "Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2" Released
The sequel will tell a standalone story with new characters this autumn.
Netflix, CD Projekt RED, and Studio TRIGGER have unveiled the second teaser for the anime "Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2". Unlike the first teaser, the new video is a minute and a half long and offers a closer look at the new characters – Wick Kingsley, Dee, Roman Karax, and Talia Young – as well as an appreciation of the sequel's visual style.
Like the first season, the sequel will consist of 10 episodes and tell a standalone story, which the creators describe as "a harsh and realistic chronicle of redemption and revenge":
“In a city that thrives on violence, only one question remains: when the world is blinded by spectacle, what extremes will you have to go to for your story to matter?”
Bartosz Sztybor from CD Projekt RED serves as the showrunner, screenwriter, and producer for the sequel. Kai Ikarashi (director of the sixth episode of the original anime) directed the season, Ichigo Kanno ("Promare") is responsible for character design, and industry veteran Tsuneo Imahori ("Trigun", "Gungrave") is behind the soundtrack.
"Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2" is set to premiere on Netflix in autumn 2026. The exact release date has not yet been announced.
