On July 4, 2026, pre-orders will open not only for the new core set for the Warhammer: The Old World tabletop game, but also for items for the Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game.
The "Burning of Westfold" magazine will be available, offering 11 linked narrative scenarios that allow players to recreate the iconic battles of the Rohirrim during the War of the Ring in "The Lord of the Rings" film trilogy.
The set includes a series of detailed guides on how to paint horses, how to make the Fords of Isen, how to improve your Rohan homes, and how to create the Plains of Rohan. To fully utilize this magazine, the Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game Rules Manual and Armies of The Lord of the Rings books will be needed.
A Riders of Rohan set will be released, containing six riders from the Rohan army. The miniatures are equipped with armor, shields, one-handed weapons, and bows. Four of them can use throwing spears, and all six riders and horses are interchangeable with each other.
With the Warriors of Rohan Commanders set, you will get a captain, a standard bearer, and a warrior with a war horn (the set includes cosmetic options for customizing the miniatures).
And the Hill Tribesmen Commanders set, dedicated to the mountain tribes, will contain a chieftain, a standard bearer, and a warrior with a war horn. The chieftain can be armed with a large two-handed or one-handed weapon and a shield, or instead, a swearing savage can be assembled, binding the Dunland savages to Saruman with an oath of allegiance.
The aforementioned products are expected to reach store shelves on July 18, 2026.
