Koei Tecmo, known for the Ninja Gaiden, Nioh, Dynasty Warriors, and Wo Long series, is working on a new game. The project, codenamed FUJI, was discovered in documents of the Japanese state program supporting the local entertainment industry.

According to the published information, this is not a sequel to an existing series, but a new franchise. The brief description mentions "Eastern aesthetics" and an emphasis on dynamic action.

Details about the project are not yet available. Given Koei Tecmo's experience, it can be assumed that the game is once again inspired by Asian history or culture. However, the setting has not yet been officially revealed.

When FUJI will be announced is unknown. The game may be unveiled after the release of Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember, which is scheduled for 2027.
