Valve is preparing a new VR headset: the first game is already compatible with Steam Frame - dataminer

Dataminer Brad Lynch discovered that Portal 2 was the first game to receive compatibility status with Valve's upcoming VR headset, Steam Frame.

Although Steam Frame has not yet received an official announcement of its price and release date, the first data on compatible games has appeared online.

As dataminer Brad Lynch found out, Portal 2 became the first game with a compatibility mark. The project received "Playable" status, which means it can be launched on Steam Frame with limitations. These include possible performance issues and the lack of native support for the resolution of new displays.

Steam Frame will be Valve's new attempt to enter the device market after Steam Controller, Steam Machines, and Steam Deck. This time, the company is returning to the virtual reality segment with a new VR headset.

Valve has not yet disclosed the price and release date of Steam Frame. It is only known that details are expected to be presented in the summer.
