Warhammer Age of Sigmar Authors Unveil Set with Ogre Hunters and Sabretusks
Immediately after the announcement of the "Ogor Mawtribes" army set for the Warhammer Age of Sigmar tabletop game last week at The Big Summer Warhammer Preview Show 2026 event, Games Workshop staff had even more Ogors to show off.
They unveiled a set including three experienced hunters and a pair of Sabretusks, helping to track down prey. The hunters are responsible for reconnaissance ahead of the Ogre army. They often spend many weeks away from their tribe and have developed excellent survival skills, allowing them to penetrate enemy lines despite their colossal size.
Hunters are also eager to engage in bone-crushing melee combat, like any other Ogre, but unlike most of their kin, they are excellent with the massive crossbows they carry. These deadly weapons can pierce through multiple enemies at once, and the hunters have perfected the art of silent movement, allowing them to get into a good firing position.
The hunter unit can be removed from the battlefield and then redeployed entirely within three inches of a terrain feature and more than nine inches away from all enemy units. This unit cannot use movement abilities on the first turn of the first battle round.
Sabretusks are bloodthirsty killers who obey every command of an Ogre without question. They will tear unfortunates to shreds long before they get close to their beastmasters.
