Solo players will be able to test their skills in the new mode.

On June 30, Diablo IV launched its 14th season, titled “Season of the Death's Awakening”. According to the story, dark rituals caused rifts to appear in Sanctuary; the longer a rift remains open, the more rewards players can receive for closing it.

In addition to new content, Blizzard offers Diablo IV players a new mode, “Self-Found, Solo” — for those who want to play as a lone wolf.

This mode will have the following restrictions:

  • A Self-Found character can only be seasonal (in normal or hardcore mode).
  • Self-Found characters cannot join groups or trade items with other players.
  • Self-Found characters share their stash, currency, paragon levels, and more only with other Self-Found characters on the player's account.
  • Self-Found characters do not have access to the free trial, couch co-op feature, or the Dark Citadel.
  • If a player makes a character Self-Found, they cannot undo the decision until the end of the season. At the end of the season, this character will become “eternal” and will be able to join groups or trade items.

Diablo IV developers also talked about gameplay improvements. Version 3.1 implemented the ability to synchronize war plans with a group, meaning the new feature will allow players to create a new war plan for all group members.

The war plans themselves received a number of changes:

  • The amount of experience gained from completing all war plan objectives has been increased to “Torment VIII” and higher difficulty levels.
  • New war plan tasks and objectives have been added for prolonged Helltide and Nightmare Dungeons with an Escalation Sigil.
  • The base amount of experience for completing objectives during Helltide and in Nightmare Dungeons with an Escalation Sigil has been increased.
  • Helltide war plan progress has been changed: instead of opening chests, players need to collect 75 Cinders on difficulty levels up to “Penitence” and 250 Cinders starting from “Torment I” difficulty.

The full description of update 3.1.0 for Diablo IV is available at the following link. The developers announced that from June 30 to July 7, players will be able to try the Warlock for free — up to level 30. To continue playing, the Lord of Hatred DLC will need to be purchased.
