CD Projekt RED's project continues to enjoy great popularity.

At the end of June, the traditional summer sale kicked off on PC in Steam, and CD Projekt RED and Studio Trigger released several teasers for the anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 (or "Cyberpunk: Running on the Edge 2").

Players once again remembered Cyberpunk 2077 — the online player count on Steam significantly increased, and the game itself began to climb the sales chart in the Valve store.

The "rise" of Cyberpunk 2077 in the chart became a topic of discussion on social media, and the game's quest director, who is currently leading the development of the sequel, took notice.

Paweł Sasko once again couldn't hold back tears (he posted a "crying" emoji) and thanked the players:

Thank you so much, guys. For all this support — we're going to prepare something else for you, I hope you like it spicier.

For the week from June 23 to June 30, Cyberpunk 2077 was in the "top five" of the overall Steam sales chart (or second place, if free-to-play hits from Valve are excluded):

  1. MECCHA CHAMELEON
  2. Counter-Strike 2
  3. Dota 2
  4. Cyberpunk 2077
  5. PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS
  6. Dead by Daylight
  7. The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth
  8. Warhammer 40,000: Darktide
  9. Steam Deck
  10. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II
