The streaming service Netflix officially announced the successful completion of filming for the third season of the live-action series "One Piece" and released a shot featuring the Straw Hat Pirates crew.
The continuation is subtitled "Alabasta Arc" — it adapts the eleventh arc of Eiichiro Oda's manga of the same name. The story will tell how Luffy and his crew arrive in the kingdom of Alabasta, where a civil war is about to begin. As it turns out, Crocodile and his secret organization "Baroque Works" are behind the internal conflict in the country, attempting to seize power. The Straw Hat Pirates will have to intervene to stop the coup.
The premiere of the third season is scheduled for 2027. Meanwhile, fans of the franchise, in addition to the ongoing main anime, can look forward to several other projects: the One Piece Heroines special episode will be released on July 5, 2026, an animated LEGO project on September 29, 2026, and a remake of the original anime by WIT Studio in February 2027.
