
Gothic 1 Remake Developers Improved Performance and Facial Animations - Update 1.0.3 Released

The game's technical state continues to gradually improve.
The developers of Gothic 1 Remake released a major update 1.0.3 in early July. It does not add new content to the game but aims to fix some technical issues and includes a number of improvements.
Alkimia Interactive and THQ Nordic stated that facial animations for “some characters” (the list was not published) were improved, as well as NPC positioning and pathfinding for large monsters.
Some other improvements and changes in update 1.0.3 for Gothic 1 Remake:
- Fixed various bugs that hindered story progression and led to some quests being blocked
- Improved game performance during long gameplay sessions
- (Chapter 5) Fixed a bug that blocked the Uz-Nazkrog ritual
- Glossary updated
- Improved crossbow reload animation
- Fixed various bugs that caused Gothic 1 Remake to crash
- Fixed a bug that blocked the ability to train with Fingers if the player did not talk to him in the first chapter
