The developers of Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 4 have released a new installment of the Battlefield Report series, which thoroughly demonstrates the strategy's multiplayer mode. In the video, creative director Jan Thijsen and senior game designer Elliott Verbiest showed a battle between the Blood Ravens Space Marine chapter and the Ork army.
The main objective for both sides in multiplayer is to capture and hold key energy zones, but each faction achieves this goal in completely different ways. These differences, according to the developers, make matches more diverse and require different tactical approaches from players.
The Blood Ravens rely on advanced technology and powerful weaponry. Their units possess high firepower but require significant energy costs and are fewer in number.
Orks, on the other hand, rely on numerical superiority. Their strategy is built on constant pressure and massive attacks, allowing them to literally overwhelm the enemy. When used skillfully, this tactic makes Orks a formidable opponent even for well-equipped Space Marines, especially when reinforced combat units enter the fray.
In the published video, the developers demonstrated intense clashes for control of the map and showed how the differences between factions affect the course of battles.
