(18+) GamesVoice spoke about the benefits of the scandal with the Russian voice acting of Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty and revealed the voice of Solomon Reed
Many were ready to support the production of the DLC voiceover.
In early July, GamesVoice held a podcast stream during which various projects were discussed. During the conversation, they recalled the scandal that erupted after the announcement of the voice acting for the story expansion Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty (or “Phantom Liberty”).
According to a GamesVoice participant, the press, audience, and bloggers simply “blew everything out of proportion” from one CD Projekt RED comment. However, in the end, the localizers even benefited from what happened, as people paid attention to the fundraising and began to actively donate:
[what happened] only benefited us, because we captured such a huge audience against this background, our collections soared so much that… it would have been worse if this scandal had not happened in reality.
The GamesVoice representative emphasized that CD Projekt RED “did nothing against” and he “does not understand what they [CDPR] are guilty of.”
The localizers also mentioned that Solomon Reed is voiced by Vladislav Kopp.
Fundraising for the Russian voice acting of Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty continues. In total, the localizers plan to raise a little more than 3 million rubles.
