"I forgot how to act": Amy Adams shared her impressions of filming "Star Wars: Starfighter"

The first day of filming was a difficult test for the actress.

Actress Amy Adams spoke for the first time about her participation in Shawn Levy's upcoming film "Star Wars: Starfighter". On the SmartLess podcast, she admitted that her role would be small, and the first day of filming was a real challenge for her because she is a big "Star Wars" fan:

"I have a very small role. I absolutely loved looking at all the props, and I went to the creature shop twice – it's incredibly cool! Of course, I'll talk about it in more detail sometime later, but right now I don't even always understand what I'm allowed to talk about. On the first day of filming, I was so nervous that I forgot how to act."

The actress added that it was difficult for her to cope with her fan emotions:

"I'm sure Shawn Levy was looking at me and thinking, 'Amy, are you okay?' And I was like, 'No, I'm just not okay.' I'm on the set of 'Star Wars,' and I grew up with this. I had to turn off the enthusiastic fan in me and turn on the professional actress, but it wasn't easy. It's so cool, guys – it's just so cool. And although I can't say much, I can say that Flynn Gray is just brilliant."

The mention of Flynn Gray supports earlier insider reports about the film. According to rumors, Amy Adams plays the mother of Gray's character. According to the plot, her character appears at the beginning of the story to send her son to search for his uncle – Ryan Gosling's character, who is supposed to take him to the New Jedi Academy. Officially, little is known about the film's plot: the film's events will unfold five years after the events of "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker."

The premiere of "Star Wars: Starfighter" is scheduled for May 28, 2027.
