The creators of Genshin Impact continue to tease new features for update 7.0. Recently, miHoYo (HoYoverse) presented several promotional artworks with characters.
Genshin Impact 7.0 will introduce Alyosha — a four-star rarity character, whose element is Electro, and who will use Polearms in combat. From a lore perspective, he is from Stretomorozsk village:
One only needs to walk through the snow once to understand how precious warmth is. The cold wind is merciless. It grinds down everything it touches like a file. The endless snows seem to pour all their hatred onto this world, and even that is not enough for them. From every living creature that dares to step on them, they demand a toll of warmth and life. If people had a choice, no one would remain in this bitter cold. But Alyosha stepped into the cold snow again and again to bring prey and hope. He raised his rifle and aimed at the prey before him. His true opponent is the merciless cold.
The authors of Genshin Impact also showed a teaser for another heroine named Odette — she is a five-star rarity character, her element is Cryo, and she uses a Sword in combat. They didn't reveal gameplay mechanics, but they did present a lore description:
