Escape from Tarkov: Arena Developers Started Giving Out Loot Boxes for Participating in Matches and Changed the Sound - Update 0.5.2 Released
Some players have long suggested introducing a post-match reward system.
In July, the developers of the online shooter Escape from Tarkov: Arena released update 0.5.2, which introduced a new reward system and changed the sound.
Now, EFT: Arena has post-match rewards. After a match ends, in the "Team" section, you can see the progress of the scale filling up — for each match played, experience is awarded, the amount of which depends on several factors:
- Match outcome (win, loss, place taken);
- Earning the MVP title for the match;
- Activity during the match (kills, assists, capturing points, and other actions);
- Bonus for the first win of the day.
Players who accumulate a certain amount of experience will be able to receive a reward. At the start of the system, the "Echo Belli" crate (loot box) is offered as a reward, but the developers plan to expand the list of rewards in the future.
Some other changes and improvements:
- The second iteration of movement sound refinement has been carried out: audio content has been updated, and the volume level of footsteps between different types of surfaces has been balanced.
- A system for mixing distant movement sounds has been added: footsteps sound more detailed up close, and less saturated at a distance for a more natural perception.
- Balance adjustments have been made to the volume and audibility range of shots, movement sounds, and a number of other in-game sounds from both first and third-person perspectives.
- The Atomic Defence CQCM "Target" mask now correctly combines with the Multicam Black baseball cap.
- Fixed an error that prevented the use of the M700 7.62x51 508mm threaded barrel when modifying weapons.
- In TeamFight mode, Toxin damage has been doubled.
- For the "Marksman" class, erroneously available Stich Profi Plate Carrier ver. 2 plate covers in Coyote and A-Tacs FG colors have been removed.

Escape from Tarkov: Arena is holding a new event "S.B.E.U. HERO" — in a special mode, players will be able to test specific weapon builds.
