Publisher Level Infinite and Gameloft studio have announced the release date for the open-world crime action game Gangstar Mirage City. The game, positioned as a mobile equivalent of GTA Online, will be released on August 20, 2026.
Currently, the launch is planned for a limited number of regions, including Eastern Europe, Latin America, South and Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. Pre-registration is already open on Google Play and the official project website. However, the game is currently only announced for Android — there is no mention of an iOS version at this time.
Players will start as a small-time criminal in the crime-ridden metropolis of Mirage City and gradually build their own criminal empire. To do this, they will have to complete story missions, capture territories from rival gangs, and develop illegal businesses. The main focus is on the multiplayer mode: the developers promise cooperative missions, PvP shootouts, and street races with other players.
Initially, the project was developed under the working title Codename Crime – Vice Open World. Tencent first introduced it in 2024, after which the game underwent several stages of closed testing. Now, the developers have officially included the new title in the Gangstar series, owned by Gameloft.
