At Anime Expo 2026, a panel dedicated to the anime "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" was held. During the event, the creators confirmed the main creative team for the third season and announced that its premiere will take place in October 2027.
MADHOUSE studio is once again responsible for the production of the continuation. Tomoya Kitagawa, who worked on the second season, remains the director, while Keiichiro Saito, the director of the first season, retained the post of assistant director. Evan Call is once again composing the music, Tomohiro Suzuki is responsible for the series composition, and Takase Maru and Keisuke Kojima are creating the character designs. The main cast of voice actors will also return to their roles.
Along with the announcement, the creators presented the first poster for the third season and an exclusive illustration featuring Macht of the Golden Lands – the strongest of the Demon King's Seven Sages of Destruction.
The third season will adapt the "Golden Land Arc," which covers chapters 81 to 104 in the manga. This suggests that the continuation might have 12 episodes instead of 10, but the official number of episodes has not yet been revealed.
