Shantae 7 already in development. Release planned for 2027

WayForward confirmed that Shantae 7 will be released in 2027. The studio announced this a year after the project's initial announcement.

In almost 40 years of work, WayForward has released several well-known series, including River City Girls and Shantae. It was the adventures of the purple-haired girl that became the studio's main success. However, over the decades of the franchise's existence, only six main games have been released.

Last year, the developers confirmed that Shantae 7 was in production. Now it has become known that the release is scheduled for 2027 on PC and consoles.
