Box office forecasts for the blockbuster "Spider-Man: A New Day" continue to rise. According to analysts, the film's global gross for its debut weekend could reach $550 million. If the predictions hold true, the film will achieve the fourth-largest opening in global box office history. Currently, the top three are held by "Avengers: Endgame," "Avengers: Infinity War," and "Spider-Man: No Way Home," which closes the top three with $601 million in its opening weekend.

The basis for such optimistic expectations is the pace of pre-sales. According to Deadline, the new "Spider-Man" showed the best first day of pre-sales in the US in the last five years. In turn, Fandango reported that the film became the fastest-selling release of 2026, even surpassing Christopher Nolan's "Odyssey." The total volume of pre-sales in North America has already exceeded $40 million, although the premiere is still more than three weeks away.

Domestically, the film is projected to earn between $228 million and $255 million. Although even the upper limit of this range is slightly lower than the $260 million opening of "No Way Home" in North America, such high forecasts look even more impressive considering the IMAX situation. The fact is that until August 14, all IMAX theaters in North America will be occupied by Christopher Nolan's "Odyssey." In addition, for the first two weeks of its release, "A New Day" will not get IMAX screens in China either. Therefore, it will have to contend for the fourth-largest opening in global box office history without the support of premium formats.

The global premiere of "Spider-Man: A New Day" is scheduled for July 31.
