Counter-Strike: Global Offensive set a new record on Steam after re-release
Some players are returning to the old version of the shooter.
Counter-Strike 2 is very popular and remains the leader in daily peak online players on Steam, but some players want to return to the classics.
Earlier this year, Valve re-released Counter-Strike: Global Offensive on Steam. And this version is in certain demand.
According to SteamDB data, in early July, CS: GO managed to set a new record for peak online players — it exceeded 68 thousand players. The previous peak of 66 thousand players was registered in March, when a separate version was launched.
It is noteworthy that Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is no longer shown in the store and search results. The shooter's page on Steam can be found at the following link.
Valve itself is gradually adding "old-new" content to the current online shooter Counter-Strike 2. For example, earlier this year they introduced the beloved Cache map, which is available in different game modes:
Veterans of the map will feel at home in familiar locations, and newcomers will quickly master the classic three-route map that rewards strategic approach and teamwork.
