Pre-orders for new Warhammer 40,000 starter sets open on July 11

Soon, people interested in the Warhammer 40,000 tabletop game and its universe will be able to purchase new starter sets with Orks and Space Marines, paint packs and miniatures, as well as Rob Young's book "Ghosts of Cadia," a sequel to the novel "Longshot."

Games Workshop announced which products fans of the Warhammer 40,000 tabletop game will be able to pre-order on July 11, 2026.

It will be possible to purchase a new starter set containing two full armies for the "Combat Patrol" format – Space Marines and Orks, a basic rules book, 15 pieces of unpainted terrain, a double-sided game board, rulers, dice, a beginner's guide, and reference sheets.

A new introductory set will be released. Inside: 12 miniatures (Space Marine Lieutenant, 5 Intercessors, Ork Nob, and 5 Boyz), 6 paints, a game mat, a cardboard terrain set, a starter brush, a measuring ruler, six dice, and a 48-page guide.

Three paint sets will also be offered: Space Marines – two Intercessor miniatures with bolt rifles and six paints based on the classic Ultramarines scheme, Orks – miniatures of two Boyz and a Gretchin, six Goff Clan-themed paints, Paints + Tools – a brush, clippers, a mold line remover tool, and 13 Warhammer Colour paints.

Two new Getting Started sets, designed for beginners, will be available for purchase. Each includes a full "Combat Patrol" army of miniatures, 11 paints, a brush, a texture paste spreader, and an introductory faction booklet. You can choose Space Marines or Orks. The miniatures in these sets assemble without glue.

Additionally, the following books will be available for purchase: "Ghosts of Cadia" (in standard hardcover or special edition) by Rob Young, new editions of "Longshot" by Rob Young and "The Devastation of Baal" by Guy Haley in hardcover.
