Games Workshop continues to delight fans of the Great Maw from the Warhammer Age of Sigmar tabletop game universe. They have previously shown the "Ogor Mawtribes" army set, as well as miniatures of Ogor hunters.
Today, the team showcased Grell Firefist – a mercenary armed with a cannon who has killed almost everything that can be killed and eaten most of the spoils.
For the right price, she is willing to sell her services to anyone. When commanders see Grell mowing down entire regiments with volleys from her beloved cannon nicknamed "Explosive Belch," few of them dare to argue about the cost of hiring her.
In fact, she is so mad about black powder that even her own hand, torn off by an explosion, cannot dampen her delight in explosive chaos. In the player's shooting phase, Grell can target a friendly Ogor Mawtribes unit that is in close combat with an enemy unit that has taken any damage from this model's ranged attacks this turn.
The targeted unit can then immediately use the "Retreat" ability, as if it were the player's movement phase, and can still use the "Charge" ability later this turn. The "Retreat" ability does not inflict mortal wounds on this targeted unit.
Additionally, in any shooting phase, a visible enemy unit within inches of the Grell model can be targeted. Until the end of the phase, all ranged attacks from this model must be directed at the chosen enemy unit. The attack characteristic of the "Explosive Belch" cannon becomes D6+2 instead of D3+2.
The Grell Firefist miniature will be available for purchase in the near future.
