Bandai Namco warned Steam users about dropping support for collectible cards for Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth: Complete Edition

In July, Bandai Namco Entertainment surprised players with an announcement about the upcoming discontinuation of support for Steam collectible card features for one of its Digimon franchise projects.

Developers of Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth: Complete Edition are expected to cease card support as early as July 30, 2026.

They explained that all Steam collectible cards obtained before this date will remain in players' inventories. The creators of Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth did not specify why this decision was made. No information has been released yet about the game itself being removed from sale.

Currently, Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth: Complete Edition is participating in the Steam Summer Sale – the game received a 90% discount. Other franchises are also featured on Valve's service, but developers have not yet made similar announcements about discontinuing Steam cards.

Digimon Story Time Stranger, released last year, did not receive cards:
