The shooter Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 continues to show impressive results. Ahead of its second anniversary in September, it was announced that the game has surpassed 7 million copies sold. The project remains one of the most successful not only in the Warhammer 40,000 universe but also among current-generation console games.

The developers continue to actively support Space Marine 2, regularly releasing both free and paid updates with new content. The game's success has significantly impacted Saber Interactive's position in the industry.

In an interview with The Game Business, Saber Interactive CEO Tim Willits stated that the success of Space Marine 2 completely changed the perception of the company both within the studio and externally.

It changed not only the team's approach to game development but also how people look at us.

According to him, after such a major hit, expectations for subsequent projects become significantly higher, which simultaneously motivates the team and pushes them to new successes.

High sales were accompanied by positive reviews for the quality adaptation of the Warhammer 40,000 universe. Thanks to this, Saber Interactive has strengthened its reputation as a studio capable of working with well-known licenses. As Willits said, almost every major rights holder is now interested in collaborating with the studio.

According to him, the company is in such a favorable position that it is forced to turn down many owners of popular franchises. He also mentioned that Saber even rejected an offer to work on a very famous license, but could not disclose its name.

Saber Interactive currently has several major projects in development. Hellraiser: Revival will be released in October, then the studio will continue to work on Turok: Origins, a remaster of the classic Hitman trilogy, and Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 3.
