Ufotable Studio, known for the anime "Demon Slayer," in collaboration with publisher Aniplex, presented a fresh teaser trailer for the full-length anime "Witch on the Holy Night" and for the first time revealed its premiere date. The film, which was announced back in December 2021, will be released in cinemas on November 20, 2026.

The events of "Witch on the Holy Night" unfold in the late 1980s, at the twilight of Japan's Showa era. The plot tells the story of a simple provincial guy, Soujuurou Shizuki, who moves to the snowy city of Misaki and accidentally witnesses real witchcraft. Now he has to live under the same roof with two real witches — the arrogant Aoko Aozaki and the mysterious Alice Kuonji, who decide what to do with the uninvited witness to their magical secrets.

The anime is based on the visual novel Witch on the Holy Night, which was released in 2012 and gained cult status due to its cinematic presentation, music, and visual design. In 2022, the game received an HD remaster, after which it reached Steam, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4. Currently, the Steam version has 98% positive reviews.
