The developers of the satirical shooter MR DONALD stated that they faced the threat of the game's removal from Steam after demands from Valve.
According to the authors, problems began shortly after the project took second place in the audience vote at the largest gaming conference in Scandinavia. Valve notified the studio of the need to make changes to the game, but did not specify which elements violated the rules. Instead of specific claims, the developers were asked to confirm the rights to use the images of famous personalities or provide a legal opinion.
In protest, the creators released an unusual update, completely censoring the game. All characters were given bags with the inscription CENSORED, the design of the project page on Steam was changed, and a new trailer in the same style was published.
In addition, the developers recorded a video message to Donald Trump and Elon Musk, whose satirical images are used in the game.
