The third season of the anime "Shangri-La Frontier: Crappy Game Hunter Challenges God-Tier Game" has finally received an exact release date. More than a year after the second part concluded, the creators presented the first teaser trailer for the continuation and announced that new episodes will start in January 2027.
The new video is dedicated to the continuation of the GGC (Global Gaming Tournament) arc, where the heroes will participate in the fighting game competition Galaxia Heroes: Chaos. The teaser shows battles between heroes and villains, and also introduces viewers to new characters for the first time, including a mage nicknamed Clockfire.
The production of the third season is once again handled by Studio C2C. The main creative team will also return in full: Toshiyuki Kubooka is the director, Ayumi Kurashima is in charge of character design, and Kazuyuki Fudeyasu is responsible for the series composition.
The story follows Rakuro Hizutome — a hardcore gamer known by the nickname Sanraku, who prefers to play buggy and frankly unsuccessful games. Deciding to change his usual experience, he ventures into the VR-MMO "Shangri-La Frontier," where his unconventional playstyle allows him to find solutions that remain inaccessible even to experienced players.
