Aniplex and Crunchyroll have unveiled the first official teaser for the Ghost of Tsushima: Legends anime, based on the co-op mode of Sucker Punch's samurai action game. The short video focuses on the main characters of the upcoming series and showcases their concept art, which was previously displayed as posters during Anime Expo.
Kamikaze Doga studio is responsible for the animation, and production is overseen by HAYATE, a company created by Aniplex and Crunchyroll. Takanobu Mizuno (the "Duel" episode from the "Star Wars: Visions" anthology) is directing the project. Character design was prepared by Takashi Okazaki, creator of "Afro Samurai," while Gen Urobuchi ("Fate/Zero," "Puella Magi Madoka Magica") is responsible for the series composition, with Satoshi Maejima and Renji Oki also contributing. Sony Music is curating the musical score.
Ghost of Tsushima: Legends is set to premiere in 2027.
