Ubisoft announced that Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced sold over 2 million copies across all platforms within the first 24 hours of its release.

For comparison, Assassin's Creed Shadows attracted 1 million players on its release day, and after a week, the audience grew to 3 million. Within the first four months, the number of players reached 5 million. Now it remains to be seen if Black Flag Resynced can surpass these results as well.

The remake features modern graphics, a revamped combat system with an emphasis on parries and finishers, improved stealth mechanics and parkour, as well as new content. The protagonist's ship has gained alternative firing modes, and numerous quality-of-life changes have eliminated many shortcomings of the original version.

The visual component has also been completely redesigned thanks to the use of the current version of the Anvil engine. The Caribbean archipelago is now a seamless open world with detailed tropical jungles, underwater shipwrecks, raging storms, and other natural locations. At the same time, Ubisoft emphasizes that the remake has retained all the main content of the original game, complementing it with modern technologies and gameplay improvements.
