According to updated information, the horror film "Backrooms of Reality" by director Kane Parsons and A24 studio will be released digitally on July 14. Initially, the release on premium video-on-demand (PVOD) services was scheduled for July 7, but due to phenomenal box office success, it was decided to postpone it, and on July 3, an extended version of the film "Everything Must Go" with an additional 16 minutes of post-credits material premiered in foreign cinemas. In Russia, it was released six days later – on July 9.
With a budget of about $10 million, the film has already grossed over $357 million worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing release in A24's history, surpassing previous leaders – "Marty the Magnificent" and the Oscar-winning film "Everything Everywhere All at Once." In addition, 20-year-old Kane Parsons became the youngest director in history whose debut feature film topped the global box office.
