AMC released an exclusive behind-the-scenes video for the third season of the spin-off "The Walking Dead: Dead City." The video features new footage from the continuation, behind-the-scenes segments, and comments from the crew and actors, who discuss the changes in the new season. In particular, the video reveals how Maggie and Negan's relationship will change as they once again team up to rebuild Manhattan.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who serves as an executive producer on the project alongside Lauren Cohan, noted that "they needed this relationship for Maggie and Negan to finally be able to move forward."
Seth Hoffman, who previously worked on the original "The Walking Dead," has become the new showrunner for the third season. He replaced the spin-off's creator, Eli Jorné. According to Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Hoffman and the directors gave the actors more freedom to improvise during scene filming.
The cast for the third season also includes Logan Kim, Gaius Charles, Lisa Emery, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Jimmy Simpson, Aimee Garcia, Raúl Castillo, and Kier Gilchrist. The third season of "The Walking Dead: Dead City" premieres on July 26 on AMC and AMC+.
