Some players believe this is due to a lawsuit with Nintendo.

The full version of Palworld was released in July. This survival game had a very loud launch, as it featured creatures called "Pals" that strongly reminded gamers of characters from the Pokémon franchise. At the time, it led to legal proceedings with Nintendo, but the Pocketpair studio stood its ground and successfully brought the game to version 1.0.

A user under the nickname Silverr98 noticed that the creators of Palworld changed several creatures. At least four characters received a redesign – the player compared the models of Verdash, Robinquill, Fengallop, and Grintale.

Some members of the Palworld community suggested that the design changes might have been made due to legal disputes with Nintendo. Previously, lawyers accused the game's creators of infringing on the Pokémon franchise's copyrights.

There is also an alternative opinion: it is assumed that this decision by the creators of Palworld was driven by a desire for design unification.

A full description of the 1.0 update for Palworld is available at the following link. This weekend, the online player count exceeded 700 thousand; the absolute record at launch was 2.1 million users.
