Honor of Kings lost $50 million but kept its throne - analysts named the highest-grossing mobile games of June

MobileGamer.biz published a ranking of the highest-grossing mobile games of June, compiled based on data from the analytical platform AppMagic. The statistics only include in-game purchases and do not account for advertising revenue, web store revenue, Apple and Google commissions, or the Android market in China.

The leader in revenue once again was the MOBA Honor of Kings. The project's revenue from Tencent decreased by $50 million compared to May, down to $111 million. Such fluctuations are not uncommon for the game, and the June result still exceeds the figures from the end of last year, when its monthly revenue dropped below $90 million.

Whiteout Survival ($109 million) followed, consistently maintaining around $110 million for the fourth consecutive month. Royal Match rounded out the top three with $103 million — the game has also steadily held around the $100 million mark for the past three months.

The main anomaly of June was the sharp decline of the veteran of the mobile market — Candy Crush Saga. The famous match-three puzzle game dropped from $97 million in May to $77 million in June. For the project, this is the worst monthly result in the last four years: the last time the game showed such low revenue was in April 2022.
