Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige unveiled the first official concept art for the film "Avengers: Doctor Doom" at Bilibili World festival in Shanghai. The illustration for the first time shows the looks of the main participants of the massive crossover, including Doctor Doom and the returning X-Men.
At the center of the composition is Victor von Doom, played by Robert Downey Jr. Around him are the Avengers, New Avengers, Fantastic Four, residents of Wakanda, and mutants from 20th Century Fox films. Loki, hiding beneath Doom in the very center of the image, draws particular attention. Some fans have already seen in this arrangement a hint of the God of Stories' significant, but behind-the-scenes, role.
The illustration was created by Andy Park, who for many years headed Marvel Studios' visual development department and was recently laid off. The artist posted the art on social media and confirmed that "Doctor Doom" was the last feature film for the studio he worked on as a team leader.
"This illustration marks the end of my 16-year journey at Marvel and for the first time reveals the characters and their new looks."
The film is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, who directed "Avengers: Infinity War" and "Avengers: Endgame." The world premiere of the blockbuster "Avengers: Doctor Doom" will take place on December 18, 2026.
