Star of "Obsession" May Play Rogue in "X-Men" Reboot - Insider

It seems Indi Navarrette has a chance to land a new role.

According to insider MyTimeToShineHello, Marvel Studios is considering "Obsession" star Indi Navarrette for the role of Rogue in the upcoming "X-Men" reboot. The rumor emerged shortly after Navarrette herself revealed that she had met with Jake Schreier, the director of the new "X-Men," as well as Michael Mann, who is currently working on the sequel to "Heat."

Not long ago, Navarrette shared that after filming "Obsession," she couldn't get a new role for a year and a half. To pay the bills, she built her own gaming PC, started streaming on Twitch, and worked as a dog walker. Now, the situation seems to have changed: after the phenomenal success of "Obsession," which grossed over $400 million worldwide on a budget of just $750,000, the actress has several career opportunities.

Even if the rumor is true, it doesn't necessarily mean she will get the role of Rogue. Earlier, insider Jeff Sneider reported that Marvel Studios is also considering Odessa A'zion ("Daybreak," "Marty the Magnificent") and Margaret Qualley ("The Substance") for the role.
